Preston North End are understood to be weighing up a bid for Walsall’s outstanding young striker Tom Bradshaw.

The 23-year-old hitman has been in superb form for the Saddlers this season and is turning heads the country over, with Preston the latest club to be heading a list of admiring suitors.

The former Shrewsbury man has netted an impressive 28 goals in 53 games since joining the West Midlands club in 2014 including 11 so far this season.

Bradshaw still has 18 months remaining on his Walsall contract so they’ll be under no pressure to sell, and with the club still flying high in the League One table they will be desperate to keep hold of their prized asset.

However, Preston are showing signs of real ambition and could make an offer that Walsall and Bradshaw would find hard to turn down.

Fellow Championship club Reading are also said to be monitoring the situation.
