New banning order takes Iron total to 35

One Scunthorpe United fan received a banning order last season to take the total number of bans to 35, according to figures released by The Home Office.

It means that the Iron had the third highest number of banning orders in League One last season, behind Bradford City (36) and Bristol City (62). United also feature in the National top 20, ranked 19th.

There were a total of six Scunthorpe fans arrested last season. Two came at Glanford Park, with the other four arrested at away games. There were arrests for Public disorder, pitch incursion, alcohol offences and three for the possession of pyrotechnics.

Fans can have multiple banning orders, so the figures do not necessarily relate to the number of fans subject to banning orders.
