L1: Posh turn down deals for stars

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has revealed on Twitter that he has turned down numerous bids for Posh stars Jermaine Anderson and Conor Washington.

Interest in Anderson is high, with MacAnthony suggesting the 19 year old midfielder has been the subject of bids from a host of Premier League and Championship clubs.

Meanwhile, Washington is reportedly attracting interest from Championship side Reading and a recently relegated Premier League club.

The former Newport man hit a hat trick in the Posh’s 4-0 win over Scunthorpe earlier this season.
