Iron want Myrie-Williams

Scunthorpe United want to make Port Vale winger Jennison Myrie-Williams their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Myrie-Williams, 26, is out of contract at Port Vale but has been offered a new deal to keep him at Vale Park.

The former Bristol City player is understood to be one of the Iron’s number one targets and met with club officials for talks last week.

He scored ten goals in 45 appearances for Vale last season, helping them to a 9th place finish in League One.
