EXCLUSIVE: Iron face Northampton competition for Crooks

scunthorpe crooks

Scunthorpe United face competition for the signature of Rangers’ midfielder Matt Crooks from League One rivals Northampton Town.

Iron-Bru can reveal that the Cobblers have recently had a £100,000 bid accepted for the former Accrington man, who enjoyed a loan spell at Glanford Park last season.

The 23-year-old scored three goals in 12 appearances for the Iron and was thought to be high up on Graham Alexander’s summer wish list.

BBC Radio Humberside confirmed the Iron had made a bid for the player last week.
