There are literally hundreds of different professional football leagues throughout the world. However, a few of them leave every other behind in terms of popularity.

English Premier League is an excellent example in this regard, which gets broadcasted in more than 150 countries world over. From Scunthorpe, to Chelsea- a great multitude of football bettors across the world use services like SBAT predictions to bet on every EPL game. Let’s tell you about three such popular football leagues that every sports bettor must bet on.

English Premier League
The top-tier domestic league of UK, English Premier League is arguably the highest quality domestic football league in the world, and the richest too! If you look at the top 10 football clubs of the world (in terms of value), 6 of them are from the English Premier league.

What makes EPL so popular is its highly competitive nature. While in the other domestic leagues (of various countries), only a few teams hold a realistic chance of winning the title, in English Premier League there are comparatively many more contenders for the title. EPL was formed in the year 1992 as a replacement of the U.K.’s First Division. While there used to be 24 football clubs in the league back in those times, there are just 20 of them today. Every team plays the other twice each season.

Spanish Primera Division
Also popularly referred to as the La Liga, Spanish Prima Division is the top tier football league of Spain, and is almost equal to the English Premier League in terms of popularity. Featuring two of the most popular football clubs of the world, Barcelona and Real Madrid, it also enjoys very high viewership across the world. Unlike as in case of EPL, La Liga is mostly dominated by these two teams. To give you an example, there have been only two other winning clubs (apart from these two) who have won the La Liga in this century. While Valencia took the crown in 2004, Atletico Madrid were the winners in 2014. Regardless of the excitement this league can generate, it’s always one of the two major teams that wins the league every year.

FA Cup
This one’s a knockout tournament held in the UK. It is counted amongst the oldest football tournaments of the world. It started in the year 1871, and features all kinds of amateur and professional football teams. While the professional teams aren’t involved in the tournament from the beginning, and come only in the later stages, FA Cup attracts as many as hundreds of entries each year.

There are six qualifying rounds before the start of the actual first round of the tournament. This first round features League Two and League One teams; the Championship League and EPL teams make their entry only in the third round. While FA Cup is almost always won by a top tier league team, you can see several major upsets along the way.
