Hakeeb convicted of drink driving

Iron winger Hakeeb Adelakun has been convicted of the offence of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

A club statement read:

“Scunthorpe United Football Club can confirm that one of its playing staff, Hakeeb Adelakun, has been convicted of the offence of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The club condemns his actions in the strongest possible terms. As such the player will be subject to internal disciplinary action and will of course be sanctioned appropriately by the courts.

The club will be making no further comments at this time.”
