Former Iron YT signs for Rochdale

Former Iron Youth Team striker Jack Muldoon has signed for next season’s League One rivals Rochdale.

Muldoon, who had spells at Brigg and North Ferriby United since leaving Glanford Park joins Dale on a one year deal having impressed during a trial.

Jack makes the move to Spotland from Evo-Stik Northern Premier side, Worksop Town, where has spent the 2013/14 season, scoring 21 goals.

Dale manager Keith Hill commented: “He’s a goal scorer, he’s a provider, he’s got plenty of pace and power, he can play in a number of positions, and he fits into the balance of the type of squad that we want. We’ve had a really good look at him and to offer him a contract was the easiest thing I could do.

“I’m not afraid to take him into League One at all – he’ll be a pleasant surprise. Jack’s not a household name at the moment, but he will be, don’t worry about that.”
