Clarke undergoes surgery and will miss at least three months

Large

Scunthorpe United have been dealt a huge blow as right back Jordan Clarke is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Clarke underwent an operation on a hamstring injury last week and will face at least three or four months on the sidelines according to Iron manager Graham Alexander.

Alexander commented: “It is a blow to lose someone for a good chunk of the season, especially when we have been going so well and been an integral part of the side.

“But I always talk about the strength of the group and it has to overcome any individual that is missing and we have to make sure we show that in this scenario.”
