Anderson on trial with Iron

BBC Radio Humberside understands that the Iron have given a trial to former Ipswich winger Paul Anderson.

Anderson, who has spent much of his career in the Championship, was a shock departure from Portman Road this summer after scoring in the play off semi final against rivals Norwich.

The 27 year old, who worked with the Iron’s assistant manager Ned Kelly at Nottingham Forest,¬†played 62 times in a two year spell with the Tractor Boys scoring seven times.
